Former ASID President Gary Wheeler Elected to IFI Board of Directors

Gary Wheeler, FASID, FIIDA, former president of ASID and founder of London-based WheelerKänik, has been elected to the board of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). As a member of the board, Wheeler will be instrumental in implementing a new structure for IFI that includes building regional boards around the globe that will generate greater involvement of ASID and other member organizations and heighten visibility of the profession. Wheeler's leadership, strong design background, global perspective and understanding of running an international design practice will be key in leading IFI and interior design into the future. ASID at the ICFF Kicks Off Saturday, May 17
ASID
ASID is collaborating with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) to bring exclusive education programming to North America’s premier showcase for contemporary design. ASID at the ICFF, offers a unique education series led by some of the industry's leading authorities on design. Each individual session is approved for 0.1 CEU. Sessions begin on May 17 and continue through May 20, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Led by a powerful group of panelists and presenters, each session will focus on topics important to residential and commercial design professionals. Some of the sessions available include:
  • A New Spirit for a Worklife Place
  • We Are What We Build: A (Pre)Cautionary Tale About Wellness
  • Mastering Presentations in the Workplace
  • Using Knowledge to Innovate with Environmental Psychology
