ASID President Selected as 2013 LEED Fellow

The U.S. Green Building Council has selected ASID President Rachelle Schoessler Lynn, FASID, CID, LEED AP BD+C, as a member of the LEED Fellows Class of 2013. LEED Fellows are accomplished individuals nominated by their peers and distinguished by the caliber of their contributions to advancing the field of green building. "Rachelle has long championed design's essential role in creating green buildings that improve lives and protect the environment," ASID CEO Randy Fiser said. "The leadership and staff of ASID applaud USGBC for recognizing Rachelle's tireless efforts and the critical role interiors play in sustainability."

Economy Watch: Homebuilders Still Confident

Builder confidence in the market for newly built, single-family homes was unchanged in November from a downwardly revised level of 54 in October, according to the National Association of Home Builders, which released its Housing Market Index Nov. 18. For the sixth consecutive month, more builders believe market conditions are good than poor.

Architecture Billings Index Slows Down
