Economy Watch: Home Price Increases Slowing Down

CoreLogic reported that the increase in home prices nationally — including distressed sales — slowed in October, rising only 0.2 percent compared with September. Even so, according to the company, the year-over-year increase was still a respectable 12.5 percent in October 2013, which represents the 20th consecutive monthly year-over-year rise in prices nationally.
