Angel Tree Drive's volunteer truck loaded down with donations from BOMA Dallas members and tenants

The 2011 Angel Tree Drive was a huge success this year. The Community Service Committee outdid themselves once again and donated over 1,800 presents to 13 North Texas charities. A special thanks to Britton Building Maintenance who donated all the bags this year. Their generous donation enabled the CSC to focus on other aspects of the drive and not worry about their tight budget. We had the highest participation this year with 54 properties contributing to the drive. There were numerous property managers and vendors that stepped up and made this drive a big success. More

2012 Dart Tournament

Jan. 19 | Billiard Den | 5:30 p.m.
The Dallas BOMA Annual Dart Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Billiard Den in Camelot Center located at 580 W. Arapaho in Richardson. Registration begins at 5 p.m. with tournament play beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Competition includes challenge and recreational flights in teams of four. The cost is $100 per complete four-person team or $30 per person. All entries are due by Jan. 16. Don't play darts? Just attend for $20 per person.

Join us for networking, camaraderie, food and spirits at this year's event. Last year proved to be record attendance for this event. What does the 2012 Dart Tournament have in store this year? Last year's event was a sell out — be sure to register early!

Obama, Clinton unveil $4 billion green building program

President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton announced a $4 billion effort to improve energy efficiency in federal and private-sector buildings across the country over the next two years. During a tour and press conference, Obama and Clinton unveiled commitments which are part of the Better Buildings Challenge, targeted at reducing energy use in commercial buildings by 20 percent by 2020. The announcement builds on more than a dozen commitments by the private sector announced at the Clinton Global Initiative in June to make energy upgrades across 300-million-square-feet and to invest $500 million in private financing in energy efficiency projects.
