• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.

Big news was hiding in Honda's latest release of new model year information, as the company has unveiled its new Pioneer 700-4 — a versatile side-by-side with seating for up to four and an innovative convertible bed space — all built atop the company's Big Red platform. The big scoop is the Pioneer's seating and packaging, as the roll cage extends beyond the front row of seats and covers the bed, which can function as the tilting cargo hold or a second row of seats, depending on configuration. The new John Deere 644K Hybrid Loader breaks into construction

John Deere has announced the release of the 644K Powerllel diesel-electric hybrid front loader which will reduce fuel consumption by up to 25 per cent and cut down on job site noise. This Deere front loader is designed with powerful digging forces along with a parallel fork-lift design to ensure heavy loads work with, and not against, the boom. The 644K loader features a PowerShift transmission, NeverGrease joints, and an IT4-certified PowerTech 6.8-liter diesel engine with 229 horsepower. More

Kubota releases 3 new compact excavators

Kubota has released three new compact excavators, the KX040-4 (4 tons), the KX018-4 (1- to 2-ton class), and the tight tail swing, 3.5-ton U35-4. The KX040-4 replaces the KX121-3 and features an "Eco Plus" system, giving operators the option of "eco mode" for up to 20 per cent less fuel consumption than prior models. For applications that require full power, operators can switch to standard mode and still experience improved efficiency and lower fuel consumption, Kubota says. More

Bosch Power Tools' newest rotary hammer, the RH850VC 1 7/8-inch SDS-max, delivers 9.3 foot-pounds of impact energy while reducing vibration up to 60 per cent when compared with the previous model. The three-level vibration control system includes a longer air cushion between the piston and striker in the hammer mechanism, a tuned mass damper that moves in counter motion to the hammer mechanism, and a de-coupled main handle that absorbs vibrations before they reach the operators' hands.
