Max House: Newfoundland telemedicine pioneer

The life of Dr. Max House ended on Oct. 17th, 2013, but his legacy as a technology and medical pioneer, visionary innovator and humanitarian lives on. Dr. House fully believed that people living in rural and remote communities should have the same access to medical care as those in urban centres. At his passing, telemedicine was a normal expected medical diagnostic and consulting environment for people around the world. It was much different when he first envisioned it in 1976.
