Dozens of firms angling to design, build, operate and finance the Ohio River Bridges Project will be in Louisville, Ohio, for two days this week for a closer look at the still-evolving plan for two new bridges and a redesigned Spaghetti Junction interchange. Through coursework and testing, these individuals demonstrate an understanding of best practices in every phase of design-build project delivery, from proposal preparation to substantial completion. Previously, only practitioners with design or construction degrees and significant design-build experience qualified for permanent designation status.
