    EBA is developing a library of program recordings for members to purchase, download and listen too at their leisure. Some of these programs include CLE credits.     EBA Committee Renewal time!
    EBA
    EBA boosts twenty-one active subject-matter specific committees. Committee membership is open to EBA members in good standing. Committees conduct business through the year and generally are responsible for developing at least two educational program sessions per year and providing article to the Energy Law Journal and EBA Newsletter.

    Current committee assignments are cleared every year and you must RENEW your committee affiliation or you will be dropped from the committee list. Your EBA Membership must be current in order to serve on a committee. To sign up for committee assignments, please Login at the EBA website and Go to "My EBA" , "Update Your Profile" and then to "Edit/View Information." Scroll down to the end of your profile and you will see the Committee Choices.

    Please use the first check box to indicate your FIRST choice, second check box to indicate your SECOND choice, etc. Please make your selections no later than April 25, 2014. If you have difficulties signing up online, you may click on the following link to access a hard copy of the committee preference form. If you have any questions please call or email EBA at 202-223-5625 or admin@eba-net.org.

    FERC staff highlights changing power mix as demand falls for 3rd straight year

    The changing generation mix and recent extreme weather throughout the U.S. have led the power sector to evaluate and begin making changes to address their increased dependence on natural gas and the integration of renewables, staff at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said in the 2013 State of the Markets report.

    Iowa Senate OKs two bills bolstering state's renewable energy industry

    S.F. 2340, which triples the amount of Iowa's solar energy tax credits, and S.F. 2343, which extends a deadline to complete wind energy and other projects, were approved on bipartisan votes without any opposition.

    Last week, the Foundation of the Energy Law Journal (FELJ) sent letters to many of you soliciting sponsorship for the ALJ Reception, which will be held on April 8, 2014. Not only do we honor all of the Administrative Law Judges at FERC and host a great networking event, but funds raised by the ALJ Reception provide the major source of revenue for the Energy Law Journal.
