Goldschmidt2015: Final Community Call for Sessions and Workshops
The Organising Committee for Goldschmidt2015 would like to invite you to propose sessions for the science program, or consider organising a workshop or pre-conference seminar which would run during the weekend before the conference next August. Details on how to submit a session or organise a workshop or seminar can be found on the conference website. These will then be reviewed by the conference's Science Committee. Please make your suggestions by Dec. 15 this year, and help us make your meeting your meeting.

Did Mars ever have life? Does it still? A meteorite from Mars has reignited the old debate. An international team that includes scientists from EPFL has published a paper in the scientific journal Meteoritics and Planetary Sciences, showing that martian life is more probable than previously thought.

'Oxygen in Earth's early atmosphere could have been incredibly sparse'

Scientists believe that until about 2.4 billion years ago there was little oxygen in the atmosphere — an idea that has important implications for the evolution of life on Earth. Evidence in support of this hypothesis comes from studies of sulfur isotopes preserved in the rock record.
