Science shows something surprising about people who love to write
Mic.com
No matter the quality of your prose, the act of writing itself leads to strong physical and mental health benefits, like long-term improvements in mood, stress levels and depressive symptoms. In a 2005 study on the emotional and physical health benefits of expressive writing, researchers found that just 15 to 20 minutes of writing three to five times over the course of the four-month study was enough to make a difference.

But coexisting with wildlife in farm fields or gardens can be a winning proposition if you're willing to alter your habitat. Even nuisance animals can become plant partners with a little planning.
The content flood and authors whining
Digital Book World
Sales are down for most authors. You don't see blog posts about it or tweets, but it's a reality. And the reason is simple: there's more content out there than ever before.
Jon Fine of Amazon calls it a tsunami, but at least a tsunami recedes. This is a flood that is going to get deeper and deeper.
