Of the top 10 fastest-growing jobs in Vermont, seven require a two-year college degree or more for entry, according to a 2010 state report. Two more call for specific post-high school training. In response, the Labor Department and Community College of Vermont have been building and refining a collaborative approach to workforce education and development in recent years, highlighted by an employee credentialing program that leads to a National Career Readiness Certificate. Air Force emphasizes skills training for cyber personnel

The Air Force has revised how it trains its cyber operations personnel to create a more defined set of skills and career path, a top service official has said. The service has developed a series of training courses designed to train military and civilian personnel in various skills to support cyber operations, he said. The current training program is built around an intensive eight-week basic training course which then goes into specific mission training and skills qualifications for an individual airman's assignment.
