Biofilms

Biofilms are considered the rule in nature rather than the exception. If you have chronic infection, biofilms may be an underlying cause. Many, if not most, microorganisms form and persist in cohesive community structures termed biofilms.

Fibromyalgia responds to naltrexone and hyperbaric oxygen

Speakers at the American College of Rheumatology meeting were disappointed in the "inadequate" results of the FDA-approved drugs for fibromyalgia — Cymbalta, Lyrica, Savella — but were encouraged by results seen with low-dose naltrexone and hyperbaric oxygen treatments. These novel treatments are often available from alternative physicians.

Want to question 'progress'? Who is more advanced?

Free Thought Project
Here is a tribe in Africa where the birth date of a child is counted not from when they were born, nor from when they are conceived but from the day that the child was a thought in its mother's mind. And when a woman decides that she will have a child, she goes off and sits under a tree by herself and she listens until she can hear the song of the child that wants to come. And after she's heard the song of this child, she comes back to the man who will be the child's father and teaches it to him. And then, when they make love to physically conceive the child, some of that time they sing the song of the child, as a way to invite it.

Do this for your health

These are troubled times for us all but for boomers it is especially troubled. We see fantastic health outcomes everyday but informing people of the real answers is hard over all the misinformation about blood pressure, cholesterol and hormones let alone the big attention getters of heart disease and diabetes.

Healing with language: Evidence procedures
SCS Matters
Evidence is required to show competence or success or that something has been achieved. For example, if the goal is to weigh less, weighing becomes part of the process as it provides evidence of progress and lets you know you are moving in your desired direction. The number on the scale is a visual evidence procedure.

The amazing health benefits of Brussels sprouts
Natural News
The Brussels sprout is a plant widely cultivated in Europe for its edible green vegetables. These vegetables, which resemble diminutive cabbages, are usually steamed or boiled and then added to meat-based dishes, including traditional Christmas dinners. These vegetables are packed with so many antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that their appeal to our taste buds was always destined to be limited. Their appeal to the rest of our bodies, however, is considerable.

Treating the whole scoliosis patient

Natural Wellness & Pain Relief Centers
Everywhere we look, there is information on scoliosis treatment. In the conventional medical world, we have three different treatments: do nothing — wait and see — rigid bracing or fusion surgery. The alternatives to these are largely focused on various exercise methods. There is Schroth, FITS, SEAS, DoboMed and CLEAR. Although all of these options may be appropriate for different patients, they all still have one distinct shortcoming: they only treat the spine.

Elevated serum copper and ceruloplasmin levels in Alzheimer's disease
NCBI
Copper takes part in a variety of biological reduction-oxidation processes, and is an important cofactor of many redox enzymes. Ceruloplasmin, the copper-transporting protein, also possesses an important redox capacity. The significant association between the copper concentration in peripheral serum and AD with elevated copper levels found in patients with AD is likely linked to the evolution of AD. Serum copper levels were significantly negatively correlated with scores on cognitive test subscores. AD patients may have significantly more "defective" ceruloplasmin, that is, apo-ceruloplasmin lacking its copper, than in healthy controls.
