Paradox & Controversy: Infections, Cancer Management, and Energy Medicine
Chicago
Oct. 28-Nov. 1, 2015

ICIM is a medical association of physicians dedicated to exploring and teaching integrative treatments to help our patients. Our 60th meeting is coming up Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Chicago. This newsletter is designed to prepare attendees and continue discussions of the education we provide.

ICIM starts Chelation and Metal Toxicology Professional Section
For more than 30 years, ICIM has been teaching and studying chelation therapy. Not all of our members practice chelation, but many do. We have decided to start a specific subgroup within ICIM for those who offer chelation with the hope that together we can promote and plan the future of chelation effectively. This Chelation and Metal Toxicology Professional Section is free and open to all ICIM members who do chelation. One of the main benefits to the Professional Section is that we will maintain a website solely for the public to search for a chelation doctor. Write to wendy@icimed.com to learn more about Chelation PS and how you can get involved.

Recommended by Elizabeth Vaughan MD: 'Bought'
The food, vaccine, drug, insurance and health industry are a multi-billion-dollar enterprise focused more on profits than human lives. The "Bought" documentary takes viewers deep "inside the guts" of this despicable conspiracy featuring exclusive interviews with the world's most acclaimed experts in research, medicine, holistic care and natural health. "Bought" exposes the hidden (and deadly) story behind it all.

Recommended by Robban Sica MD: How statistical deception created the appearance that statins are safe and effective in primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease
Informa Healthcare
We have provided a critical assessment of research on the reduction of cholesterol levels by statin treatment to reduce cardiovascular disease. Our opinion is that although statins are effective at reducing cholesterol levels, they have failed to substantially improve cardiovascular outcomes. We have described the deceptive approach statin advocates have deployed to create the appearance that cholesterol reduction results in an impressive reduction in cardiovascular disease outcomes through their use of a statistical tool called relative risk reduction, a method which amplifies the trivial beneficial effects of statins.

Prepare for ICIM's 60th Meeting: Oct. 28-Nov. 1, 2016, Chicago

Microcurrent and light lymph drainage for physical and emotional healing
Acupuncture Today
The lymphatic system is the defense network and waterway of the body and is a primary route for cleansing and detoxifying our blood, kidneys and liver. The lymphatic system defends the body from foreign invasion by disease causing agents such as viruses, bacteria or fungi. Both microcurrent and color light therapies have been shown effective in helping mobilize stagnant lymphatic function.

By ICIM member and Chicago speaker Jerry Tennant MD: 'Healing is Voltage: Healing Eye Diseases'
Amazon
"Healing Eye Diseases" is a part of the "Healing is Voltage" series. Many eye diseases like macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma and uveitis are believed to be incurable. However, using the "Healing is Voltage" paradigm, they can be reversed in most cases. This book discusses how it can be done.

New Member Profile

Teresa D. Allen, DO
Fontaine Center
Almost two decades ago, I entered the medical profession to help sick people get well — and to help well people stay that way. A lot has changed in my profession which, in my opinion, has served to defeat that basic mission. In today's managed care environment, the typical family physician simply isn't allowed the time he or she needs to practice what I call "good medicine" — the kind that pays as much attention to preventing poor health and restoring good health as it does to diagnosing and treating illness.
