Connect with chelation
Dr. Dale Guyer writes, "In the early 1990's, while still in medical school, I attended a medical conference sponsored by the American Holistic Medical Association. One of the several interesting topics discussed was chelation therapy. At the time, I did not have a specific understanding about chelation therapy. It is an IV protocol full of vitamins, minerals and a specific amino acid — EDTA — that was purported to help circulation and cardiovascular disorders. But for many reasons, some of which were very unclear at the time, it was held in fairly high disdain by the orthodox medical community."

Warning — fish oil contains no true efas
Physicians and their patients are being misled. Tragically, physicians are prescribing what they
think are essential fatty acids to their patients but they aren't. Instead, they are unknowingly prescribing "derivatives" of EFAs, consisting of enormous supra-physiologic overdoses of EPA and dHA.

Nearly a third of patients with advanced heart failure who were referred to their cardiac catheterization lab had bendopnea, according to a study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Heart Failure.

How risky is your sleep schedule?
In a comprehensive review of sleep and metabolism studies published in The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology, German researchers noted that sleep loss has been rising at epidemic rates in our society. The increase parallels the rise in obesity, metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes throughout the world. Epidemiological studies clearly point to a link between those conditions and short sleep duration, sleep disturbances and sleeping at the wrong times.
ICIM Scrapbook: What's in a name?
Wendy Chappell writes, "As integrative doctors we see both sides of the coin, the allopathic training we were given in medical school, as well as innovative new ideas that we seek out to help our patients. This 'marriage' between mindsets is a very uneasy partnership. Perhaps these two parties should get a divorce."
