A double-blind study has finally been performed, demonstrating chelation's safety with positive statistical significance. This workshop will give you both an understanding of how and why it works, as well as the confidence to begin the treatments on your own patients right away. By ICIM member Dr. Mark Mincolla:
Anti-inflammatory foods

Seventy-two percent of all disease is inflammatory. All inflammation comes from fat, and 100 percent of all fat comes from food. Therefore diet is key to inflammation. Foods such as red meat, dairy, egg yolks and peanuts are inflammatory. Foods like fatty fish, soy walnuts and pumpkin seeds are anti-inflammatory. In addition, spices are anti-inflammatory, especially spices like ginger, rosemary and turmeric.

Healing with language: Changing perspectives — reframing
SCS Matters
Without being aware, people often focus on the worst possible outcome. A psychological term for this perspective is awfulizing. When that is happening, what they most need is a change in perspective. You can help your patients change unhelpful perspectives in two ways: Change the content of what they say, or change the context (time and/or place) of their statement.

Peak performance diet

Fat, the nutritional experts warn us, will make us fatter. For the last few decades they've advised us to eat less fat and more complex, wholesome carbohydrates such as potatoes, grains and fruit. Yet despite these recommendations, Americans are more obese. Is it possible to lose weight and shave off fat on a low fat/high carbohydrate diet?

Heavy metal toxicity

Dr. Joe Hickey writes, "In 1980 I finished my internal medicine residency, passed my specialty boards and embarked on the journey of the practice of medicine. Over the next 20 years, most of the chronic diseases I managed with medications had no known cause. They were called idiopathic. It never occurred to me or, I must say, to my colleagues that there might be a reasonable explanation for why my patients were becoming ill. The neurologist didn't know, the psychiatrist, the dermatologist, pain management, infertility specialists didn't know."

Hormones and cancer risk
Labrix
Patients often have questions regarding hormone replacement and cancer risks. While not all cancers are influenced by hormone levels, malignancies that arise from hormone sensitive tissues often are. These hormone sensitive cancers include ovarian, endometrial, breast and prostate cancers. One of the primary risk factors for endometrial cancer is unopposed estrogen. This relationship came to light in the years following the introduction and widespread prescription of conjugated estrogens to millions of women in the U.S., resulting in an eight-fold increase in endometrial cancer.
