Paradox & Controversy: Infections, Cancer Management, and Energy Medicine
Chicago
Oct. 28-Nov. 1, 2015

ICIM is a medical association of physicians dedicated to exploring and teaching integrative treatments to help our patients. Our 60th meeting is coming up Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Chicago. This newsletter is designed to prepare attendees and continue discussions of the education we provide.

To introduce ICIM's 2016 Spring Meeting in Atlanta 'It's a Gut Feeling,' Program, Chairman Ellie Campbell DO recommends: Can the bacteria in your gut explain your mood?
The New York Times

Research project for metal toxicity
Dr.E.Blaurock-Busch, Ph.D., research director, writes: "ICIM speaker, professor Lilian Calderón-Garcidueñas of Montana University, has published ground-breaking research demonstrating the devastating effects of air pollution, particularly the fine particulate matter on human health. Her new research project, Metal Toxicity and White Matter in Young Urbanites Exposed to Fine Particulate Matter, determines to evaluate white matter changes in children and young adult residents in Mexico City and the association with the blood metal concentrations and APOE4 genotype. Part of the project are MRS, MRI and DTI (diffusion tensor imaging) in a cohort of 30 healthy individuals aged 18-40, 15 females and 15 males, and measurement of total blood metals and their lifetime exposures to PM2.5.
The project is in need of funds. Micro Trace Minerals Laboratory of Germany and Trace Minerals International have pledged to cover metal testing free of charge. However, more funding is needed. If you can help in any way, contact Calderón-Garcidueñas at liliancalderon888@hotmail.com."
