By ICIM 'End Pain' speaker Edward Kondrot MD: Microcurrent stimulation
Healing the Eye and Wellness
I would like to share with you the changes that have taken place with microcurrent and the microcurrent equipment since 1998. Many patients become interested in microcurrent after reading my book Microcurrent Stimulation: Miracle Eye Cure and they expect to experience the same type of equipment and treatment that was outlined in the book.

Targeted alteration of dietary n-3 and n-6 fatty acids for the treatment of chronic headaches: A randomized trial
PubMed
Omega-3 and n-6 fatty acids are biosynthetic precursors to lipid mediators with antinociceptive and pronociceptive properties. We conducted a randomized, single-blinded, parallel-group clinical trial to assess clinical and biochemical effects of targeted alteration in dietary n-3 and n-6 fatty acids for treatment of chronic headaches. After a four-week preintervention phase, ambulatory patients with chronic daily headache undergoing usual care were randomized to 1 of 2 intensive, food-based 12-week dietary interventions: a high n-3 plus low n-6 (H3-L6) intervention, or a low n-6 (L6) intervention.

Prepare for ICIM conference 'End Pain' with this article by ICIM member Simon Yu: Think dental when the latest medical therapy fails: Mouth battery, high speed drill and others
Whenever there are resistances to standard medical care, you need to think about missing links. Specifically, think about dental related medical problems that might be the underlying cause of your illness. In other articles, I've covered the dangers of dental/medical problems from amalgams, systemic effects of root canals, cavitations (infection of the jaw bone) and TMJ (temporomandibular joint, "jaw joint"), as well as parasite problems. There are still more unsuspecting, unthinkable, hidden dental related medical problems of which your doctors are not aware.

By ICIM member Cathie Ann Lippman MD: Back pain: Is a painkiller your best answer?
Recently two women came to me on the same day complaining of back pain. One was so uncomfortable she was bent over, like the letter "C," and could not straighten her back. This had been going on for several days. A painkiller (nonsteroidal, or NSAID for short) helped a little, but she was exhausted from difficulty sleeping. The second woman had been experiencing pain for a few weeks in her lower left back which also affected her left leg. She had been to her chiropractor and her acupuncturist without much benefit. Pain pills helped only a little.

Interview with ICIM member Jerry Tennant MD: Healing is voltage
Sanitas Radio
Our bodies are electric. Could it be that when our "battery" is low our bodies start deteriorating and disease takes over? What about surgery? Did you know that scars block the proper flow of electricity throughout the body? Have you taken a Sunday ride in a convertible only to then feel tired? Wind (even a fan) steals your electrons. Running water (a shower, the ocean or a river) will give you electrons. No wonder we feel rejuvenated at the beach.

Tweeted by ICIM member Ross Hauser MD: @CaringMedical #CompleteMeniscectomy a primary cause of the sudden onset of knee osteoarthritis
Prolotherapy
For many years, the primary treatment for a meniscal tear was a complete meniscectomy, a surgery that removed the entire meniscus from the knee. A typical patient profile for this procedure was a younger, active, athletic patient who through their lifestyle accelerated knee overuse, and, the older patient who suffered from degenerative wear and tear.
