ICIM
We have all seen the headlines that are shout that fish oil is not what it is cracked up to be. But what are the scientific arguments pro and against? At ICIM we know that sometimes education means letting people who disagree stand side by side and answer the same questions from our audience. We believe in coming to truth through science, clinical experience, patient results and listening carefully to the evidence on both sides of a controversy.

Recommended on Facebook by ICIM Chelation speaker Dorothy Merrit MD: Lead found in community gardens' soil, may affect produce
New York Post
State researchers found toxic soil at 38 city community gardens — 70 percent of the total they tested — but refuse to identify them to the veggie-eating public. Lead levels above federal safety guidelines were found in 24 of the gardens, or 44 percent, in the first-of-its-kind soil contaminant study led by scientists from the state Center for Environmental Health. They referred queries to the state Health Department, which refused to reveal the possibly poisonous gardens.

By ICIM 'End Pain' speaker Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum: Enjoy your vices round 37 — the salt controversy
Vitality101
Three new studies came out recently shedding more light on the salt controversy. As we've noted for many years, the current fad of salt restriction is ill advised. Though it may create one side benefit — one study showed that people who restricted their salt intake to the American Heart Association recommended guideline of 1.5 gm of sodium a day died at twice the rate of those who didn't — not so good for them, but a nifty cost "benefit" to our over-burdened social security system!

Depression: Why You May Be Suffering Part III
As the incidence of depression reaches epidemic proportions, I sometimes wonder how one can overlook or may I say ignore the research documenting known causes that can be easily identified and treated. Another common cause is the relationship between nutrient deficiencies, chemical toxins and depression. The medical literature is "over-flowing" with peer-reviewed abstracts proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that depression, nutritional deficiencies and chemical toxicities are linked.
