By ICIM member Simon Yu, MD: Who is afraid of alternative medicine?
A culture of fear and paranoia is probably the best way to describe the current state of alternative medical professionals. Several patients informed me by phone or e-mail that several alternative medical doctors in Florida and Georgia who were outspoken against vaccinations or chemo/radiation cancer therapies had died under suspicious circumstances and warned me to take extra precautions. When I first got these phone call messages, I laughed it off as non-sense and just being paranoid. Then I received more phone calls and emails warning me about suspicious deaths of outspoken doctors. It made me wonder, what is happening to our medical profession?

Extreme bias at Wikipedia on homeopathic medicine
    Natural News
Wikipedia's article on homeopathy is providing strongly biased, inaccurate information. This strong bias is a symptom of a deeper problem at Wikipedia in select articles on topics that challenge dominant medical and scientific worldviews.

By ICIM Speaker Peter Pedersen PhD: Energy metabolism of tumor cells — requirement for a form of hexokinase with a propensity for mitochondrial binding
    The Journal of Biological Chemistry
Rat liver cytoplasm (postnuclear supernatant) has a low aerobic glycolytic rate in the presence of added glucose, ATP, ADP, Pi, and NAD+, whereas cytoplasm from Ehrlich ascites tumor cells exhibit a high aerobic glycolytic rate which is typical of rapidly proliferating tumor cells. Tumor mitochondria, unlike liver mitochondria, contain bound hexokinase which constitutes about 70% of the total cellular hexokinase activity. The high aerobic glycolytic rate of Ehrlich tumor cytoplasm is reduced markedly if the mitochondria are removed and can be restored almost completely upon addition of the hexokinase-containing tumor mitochondria to tumor cytosol (postmitochondrial supernatant).
