Central Pennsylvania IEC Chapter celebrates apprentice graduation

On May 10, 2011, the Central Pennsylvania IEC Chapter recognized two very special achievements. The first was a celebration of the chapter reaching its 20 year anniversary. The second celebration was the graduation of 17 apprentices from the four-year IEC Apprentice Training Program. More

GE research director: Solar to reach fossil fuel parity in 5 years

Breakthroughs in solar technology are likely to drive the cost of solar energy below that produced from fossil fuels and nuclear reactors within five years, according to the global research director at General Electric. Mark M Little, speaking in an interview with Bloomberg, predicted that the cost of solar energy will fall to $0.15 per kilowatt hour or lower. The most recent data from the National Federation of Independent Business suggests that small business credit is about to become harder to get once again. Between March and April of 2011 the difference between the fraction of business owners saying that credit will become more available and the fraction saying that it will become less available turned more negative, after improving for nearly a year.
