Based on last year's success, Independent Electrical Contractors Chesapeake believes that the Dominion Exceptional Energy Grant for the 2011/2012
school year will carry over its workforce development initiatives from the 2010/2011 school year. They are very excited to be working with Dominion Virginia Power again this year.

We have identified a limited number of these units which do not properly achieve lock up during the user pre-inspection pull test on the webbing lifeline (as required by the User Instructions and OSHA
regulations).

Northeast and mid-Atlantic grid operator PJM Interconnect recently welcomed a new project to promote technology that can use battery power from electric vehicles to smooth peaks and troughs in grid demand. Vehicle to grid technology, or V2G, has been developed over more than a decade by University of Delaware professor Willett Kempton, and has been shown through several prototype electric cars to be an effective way of providing a
significant untapped source of energy to the national grid.

Other union officials violated pension law

Thomas Villanova isn't the only official from Local 134 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers who participated in a city pension and a union pension at the same time, in violation of
state law. Three other local leaders who did so stand to collect more than $6 million from the municipal pension fund in their lifetimes, according to an analysis by the Chicago Tribune and WGN-TV.

Newtek Business Services announced the release of the Small Business Authority Index for August 2011, which reached 108.06 points. The SB Authority Index is up 0.76 percent from July 2011, with approved SBA loan volumes, the Russell microcap index and retail sales causing the increase in the index. However, the index growth was limited by the flat and slight reduction within the other five components.
