Flight discounts for Madrid convention

Book now to join IGLTA 8-10 May at the Hotel Melia Castilla in Madrid for our 31st Annual Global Convention, the premier educational and networking event in the LGBT tourism industry. This edition will include the debut of an appointment-driven Buyer/Supplier Marketplace (with free registration for qualified buyers) and a keynote presentation from the World Travel & Tourism Council and the United Nations World Tourism Organization. IGLTA Foundation extends scholarship deadline
IGLTA
The IGLTA Foundation is providing five scholarships to attend the 31st Annual Global Convention in Madrid this May. Now in its second year, the Building Bridges Scholarship program was created to support the next generation of LGBT travel professionals. The program will provide all-expense-paid trips to Madrid (including conference registration) for three hospitality/tourism students, one individual representing a small travel business, and one individual representing a destination or event in an emerging LGBT market. Apply online by March 19 at igltafoundation.org/scholarships.

    Lebanon: Being gay is not a crime nor against nature

    Travel industry urges Americans to use vacation time

    Gay, lesbian troops perform in drag at Kadena Air Base fundraiser

    Since the repeal of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, U.S. military bases have hosted gay marriage ceremonies and potluck gatherings. But recently, servicemembers Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, may have been the first to take to the stage and perform as drag queens on a military installation in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender troops.
