Alliance for a Healthy Kansas is a nonprofit group has organized a series of community meetings across the state to educate voters on KanCare Expansion.
The goal is to educate Kansans about the economic and health benefits of expanding eligibility for KanCare, the state's privatized Medicaid program, so that they can question incumbent lawmakers and challengers about the issue during the primary and general election campaigns.
Please share these important meetings with your patients, colleagues and friends.
Alliance for a Healthy Kansas will be hosting a grassroots community forum in the following communities:
- Independence – July 20; and
- Lawrence – July 25

CDC researchers found that the rate of human papillomavirus-related cancers in the US increased from 10.8 per 100,000 people annually in 2004 to 2008 to 11.7 in 2008 to 2012. The findings in the agency's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report also showed that the 9-valent HPV vaccine could have prevented 28,500 of 30,700 annual HPV-linked cancer cases.
