Were you one of the 78,000 people who visited Locatoronline.com last month?
While many websites in the industry continue to trend downward, our website traffic has been trending up over the last 24 months. Our recent SEO initiative has had a huge impact on our website traffic. In addition to improving the way we use our H1 Tags, we rewrote our Title Tags for greater optimization. We optimized all of our images and certain other elements to increase page load speed. This greatly improved our relevance scores and made us even more attractive to the algorithms that Google, Bing and other Web browsers used. The end user experience has improved dramatically with faster page loads and the ability to view all machines under a single category without having to leave the page.
We are quickly becoming the site where buyers go to Locate used machines. They can now navigate within broader categories. They can click on a listing and navigate to other listings from that dealer, listings from that manufacturer or listings within that category. Remember, they can't buy your machines if they can't Locate them. If you're not currently listing your machines at Locatoronline.com, then you're missing out on thousands of prospective buyers.
We will continue to trend up and the value of the listings and ads at Locator will continue to increase!
If you would like to discuss the advantages of putting a display ad in our directory, a Banner Ad online or have never advertised with Locator Services before, simply call Jim Bowman at 703-683-5957 or email JBowman@locatoronline.com. The U.S. is expected to see a wave of petrochemical plant openings between now and next year. Those plants represent about $50 billion of $160 billion in manufacturing investment earmarked by the industry since 2012, according to James Fitterling, president and COO of Dow Chemical. Among them are several big ethylene plants, including one expected to be opened by Dow in Freeport, Texas, in the second quarter.
For decades, U.S. companies have been chasing cheap labor offshore and then importing products to sell in the U.S. market.
Now, Trumponomics, a broader focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO quantifies all relevant costs, risks and strategic factors) and advanced manufacturing together have the potential to end the manufacturing stagnation of the past 30 years and create millions of manufacturing jobs in the U.S.
Gender inequality has always been a strongly debated topic. In the past few months, however, the issue has made headline news after an unprecedented number of women around the globe took to the streets to protest about President Donald Trump's policies on women's issues. Turning to focus on the world of manufacturing, promoting gender equality has been an aim of the ethical trading industry for a number of years now.

Samsung (SSNLF) is in "preliminary discussions" to open a manufacturing facility in the U.S. to produce home appliances, a spokesperson for the company confirmed.

Manufacturing job creation in February was running at its fastest pace since late 2014, according to the latest jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, giving President Donald Trump a hot start in an area of focus for him.
The manufacturing sector added 28,000 jobs in the month, the most in more than a year, led by gains in food and machinery manufacturing.
