    • Over 1.4 Million Hits (up 45 percent)!
    • Over 1.1 Million Page Views (up 60 percent)!
    • Nearly 60,000 Visitors!
While many websites in the industry continue to trend downward, our website traffic has been trending up over the last 24 months. Our recent SEO initiative has had a huge impact on our website traffic. In addition to improving the way we use our H1 Tags, we rewrote our Title Tags for greater optimization. We optimized all of our images and certain other elements to increase page load speed. This greatly improved our relevance scores and made us even more attractive to the algorithms that Google, Bing, and other web browsers use. The end user experience has improved dramatically with faster page loads and the ability to view all machines under a single category without having to leave the page. We are quickly becoming the site that buyers go to Locate used machines. They can now navigate within broader categories. They can click on a listing and navigate to other listings from that dealer, listings from that manufacturer or listings within that category. Remember, they can’t buy your machines if they can't Locate them. If you're not currently listing your machines at Locator then you’re missing out on thousands of prospective buyers.

We will continue to trend up and the value of the listings and ads at Locator will continue to increase!

If you would like to discuss the advantages of putting a display ad in our directory and online or have never advertised with Locator Services before, simply call Jim Bowman at 703-683-5957 or email JBowman@locatoronline.com. He would be happy to help you round out your sales and marketing strategy and discuss which products and services would work best for you.

How an old analysis technique could strengthen the US manufacturing revival
    Forbes
U.S. manufacturing is at a major turning point. The quality and cost battles we waged to counter 1980s "Japan Inc." are mostly behind us. The China offshoring paradigm is "equalizing" itself out: they are finding that success has its own inevitable costs. Regardless of our oscillating data on jobs and GDP, industry is reinvesting in U.S. plants and equipment. Surveys continue to indicate that CEOs are planning to relocate more manufacturing stateside.

February shows slowing growth in US manufacturing — Will it continue?
    By Alan Kelsky
Economic headlines recently announced that the rejuvenation of the United States manufacturing sector is on the skids. But is manufacturing declining, or is this merely a blip on the radar? According to the latest research by the Institute for Supply Management, factory activity in February fell from 53.5 in January to 52.9 — its lowest point since January 2014, a 13-month low. However, any index number above 50 is an indicator of an expanding manufacturing sector.

    The two worlds of deindustrialization
    The Economist
Indiana is a state of economic contrasts. Indianapolis, its biggest city, is dominated by thriving high-tech industries such as aerospace and chemical manufacturing. Its third Congressional district has the highest proportion of the workforce employed in manufacturing of any district in the country. A few hours' drive away, though, lies Gary. Since the collapse of its steel industry in the 1980s, the city's economy has imploded. The poverty rate is extremely high. On a Sunday afternoon, Gary's main street was nearly deserted; most of the shops were boarded up.
