LOCATOR
Is your current system still keeping you up at night?
Are you concerned that one day soon you will not be able to access your data and it will be trapped in your system never to be seen or heard from again? Are you worried that day could be today? Are your support calls going unanswered, unreturned or unacknowledged? Chances are that if you are using outdated technology, you answered "Yes" to many if not all of these questions.
Don't let aging technology and non-existent customer support keep you up at night. At Locator Services, we have successfully migrated data from marginally supported systems for years. Whether your system is an in-house legacy system or built on archaic technology that is no longer supported, we can help you.
- Use a Web interface that works like a website, using the same navigation logic so it's easy to learn and is accessible from ANYWHERE you have Internet connectivity!
- Capture customer information, including contacts, contact information, machinery types, machines owned, quote history, custom search codes and more.
- Record inventory details, location, photos, video link, quote and advertising destinations.
- Quote machines with photo links directly in email messages.
- Quote one or several people, or send information to a distribution list.
- Add custom fields for customers, inventory and wanteds, as well as manage administrative settings and users.
- Use Web Services to populate your website and send information to advertising destinations like Locator.
If you are still using an in-house application or older technology system and would like to migrate to a newer state of the art system simply call Jim Bowman at 703-683-5957 or email JBowman@locatoronline.com. He would also be happy to schedule an online demonstration of the software for you at your earliest convenience. MDNA members may qualify for a 10 percent discount!

Arkansas shows how regulations can stymie manufacturing growth
By Alan Kelsky
In 2004, Arkansas' manufacturing industry was ranked 34th in the United States. A decade later, it was still stuck at 34th. The U.S. Department of Commerce reports that Arkansas' manufacturing industry has grown at a dismal rate — lower than 1 percent annually since 2002. As the state's Economic Development Commission tries to woo new business with promises of a skilled workforce and business-friendly environment, folks who have studied manufacturing in Arkansas disagree.
