Advocacy team pushes tech priorities in Austin, including patent reform
MTBC
On Feb. 12, nine members of the MTBC's Advocacy team met in Austin, to discuss the MTBC's Legislative Agenda with members of the North Texas delegation. The full team met with Sen. Van Taylor to discuss the details of his proposed patent reform legislation. Taylor's proposed legislation would enable companies who receive bad faith patent infringement demand letters, to send those letters to the Texas Attorney General.

Mavenir to be bought by Canadian communications company for $560M

When drones aren't enough, Amazon envisions trucks with 3-D printers

When 30-minute drone delivery isn't fast enough, Amazon.com will send in its 3-D printing trucks. That's the ambitious vision laid out in several patent applications from the e-commerce giant. Amazon wrote that it hopes to create a system for printing three-dimensional goods on-demand, even from inside delivery trucks, to get them to customers faster.
