Tech groups applaud passage of Trade Promotion Authority
CompTIA
CompTIA, TECNA and 27 regional tech councils praise the efforts of the U.S. Senate in passing Trade Promotion Authority. The vote was 60-38, following another close vote in the House last week, 218-208. This legislation will now go to the president to be signed into law. In recent weeks, these tech groups and their thousands of members have been encouraging members of Congress to support this critical legislation.

"What songs are we going to sing?" Stephanie Johnson, a Tech Wildcatters staff member, is in the front seat of the chartered bus leaving downtown Dallas for Texas A&M University. "How about 'The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round?’'" suggests Sean Tibbetts, who has nursery rhymes on the brain. His daughter was born May 1. Four weeks into their 12-week technology startup boot camp, Tibbetts and his fellow entrepreneurs are taking their show on the road. They include eight of the entrepreneurs representing five of the original six teams — Team "FindMe" dropped out shortly after the program started.
