There's never been a better time to be a vending machine, as long as you're dispensing organic foods and snacks, that is. As one of its final acts in a busy lame-duck session, Congress recently passed a law that requires officials to set nutritional standards for all foods sold in schools, including vending machines. New suction cup range increases production efficiency

A new range of suction cups will increase the efficiency in picking and placing of small products for packaging manufacturers, according to Piab. The company has expanded its range of Duraflex BX suction cups which it claims are more pliable to different materials than conventional suction cups. "The new suction cups offer improved sealing capabilities for products with porous, uneven or textured surfaces, such as medical products and plastic or metal parts, allowing manufacturers to increase line productivity and reduce energy consumption," said the vacuum technology supplier.
