FCC to help small businesses thwart cybercrimes with education

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and companies such as Symantec Corp. to educate small businesses about methods to combat cybercrime. The FCC plans to dedicate a section on its website to cybersecurity issues that affect small businesses, and release a tip sheet that will be distributed by the Chamber of Commerce, Symantec, Intel Corp.'s McAfee cybersecurity unit, and other groups. The agency also is joining the federal government's National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and will host a cybersecurity event this year. More
