New Small Business Loans Available from SBA in June

The U.S. Small Business Administration has recently announced that small businesses facing economic needs can apply for short-term relief in the form of loans up to $35,000. The loan program is designed to assist viable small businesses which are facing cash flow problems. The “America’s Recovery Capital” (ARC) loans are interest-free and deferred-payment. The loans are paid out over a six-month time and the ARC loan can be repaid over five years. These ARC loans are part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the stimulus bill Congress passed and President Obama signed in February. More    E-mail article

When world coffee prices dropped dramatically in the 1980's, groups of people, starting in the Netherlands, became concerned with the fate of the coffee farmers. In 1997, the Fair Trade Labeling Organization (FLO) was started. The FLO is an umbrella organization with 20 members from 19 nations.
