Starbucks CEO extends 'Indivisible' campaign from coffee to social media

Last year, in a move to break gridlock in Washington, he launched a campaign urging CEOs to boycott political donations. Now he's leading "Indivisible," an initiative focused on job creation. Starbucks launched the "Indivisible" collection — a coffee blend, branded tumblers and mugs — in its stores in mid-June and makes a donation to the Create Jobs for USA fund every time an "Indivisible" item is purchased. Now the campaign is extending to social media in a special Fourth of July initiative. More

NAMA'S POSITIONING FOR GROWTH: NATIONAL STEERING COMMITTEE MEETS

CHICAGO - JULY 2 - The National Automatic Merchandising Association announced that the Positioning for Growth Campaign National Steering Committee convened recently for an organizational planning meeting.

Twelve industry leaders — including representation from the operator, supplier, coffee roaster, distributor and service provider member verticals — met to discuss a strategic plan for engaging NAMA's broader membership in the PFG campaign.

"We've had tremendous support to date by our leaders, including NAMA board members," said Jim Terry, Chairman of the PFG National Steering Committee. "Our challenge is to ensure that this initiative — planning for our industry's growth — is as broad-based as possible."

To date, PFG has secured more than $1.7 million in commitments from NAMA member companies. This money is earmarked to support both new and existing programs in the areas of Advocacy, Research, and Thought Leadership.
