iPhone app 'Stampt' to help coffee drinkers get discounts
World Coffee News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
As we all know, companies are keen to reward customers for loyalty to their brand and to encourage them to visit their outlets. To this end, store cards, "buy 12, get one free" cards and vouchers are often used. The "get one free" card is often used in coffee shops, in particular. The new iPhone "Stampt" app helps to keep a note of these purchases digitally. How does it work? On purchasing a coffee, the server would pull out a code which could then be scanned as a digital "stamp" on the card. More

Under this model, any notion of broad corporate social responsibility is subordinated — and legally trumped — by a fiduciary duty to make as much money as possible. In front of them is a new way: Start a business and do more than just maximize profits. Make positive contributions to the community, improve the environment and show a commitment to your employees and customers. More
