Cocoa hits 3-week low; coffee prices rise on Brazil real
Nasdaq
Cocoa prices fell to a three-week low Tuesday, Sept. 29, as investors braced for increasing supplies from the world's top two producers. Cocoa futures for December delivery were recently down 1.4 percent to $3,196 a ton on the ICE Futures U.S. Exchange. This was the lowest close since Sept. 4, when prices closed at $3,168 a ton.

Americans pay an average $2.70 for coffee, while tipping 20 percent

Enjoying a cup of coffee is a daily, revitalizing ritual for many Americans — but amid the rush of waiting in line at bistros and cafes one might wonder how much they should tip or whether they are being overcharged. To celebrate National Coffee Day, mobile payment company Square released data that shows most Americans tip 19 or 20 percent when buying a caffeine beverage, and that the average cost for a standard cup of coffee without milk is $2.70.
