    The U.S. Postal Service seeks to raise shipping service rates by 4.6 percent, the company said in a Nov. 22 statement. Priority Mail prices will increase on average 3.1 percent, Express Mail prices will increase 3.3 percent and First-Class Package Service prices will increase 3.7 percent. More

In a rebuke to small businesses trying to skate by solely on digital marketing, a recent Pitney Bowes Inc. survey found that 76 percent of small businesses agreed that the ideal marketing mix features a combination of digital and physical communications. The survey found that 58 percent of small businesses surveyed use multichannel marketing. More

The U.S. Postal Service expects to deliver 16.5 billion cards, letters and packages between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve this holiday season, up from 15.8 billion in 2010, U.S. Postal Service spokeswoman Darleen Reid said.
