Veterans Day — NTA office closed Thursday, Nov. 10 Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The National Textile Association offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day, an annual United States holiday honoring military veterans. It is a federal holiday observed on Nov. 11. It is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world and falls on Nov. 11, the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I.

On Tuesday, Nov. 1, David Trumbull, vice president, International Trade, National Textile Association, spoke at the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) regarding U.S.-China trade in textiles and apparel. As part of the Federal Trade Commission's systematic review of all current FTC rules and guides, the FTC is seeking public comment on its textile rules, which require that textiles sold in the United States carry labels disclosing the generic names and percentages by weight of the fibers in the product, the manufacturer or marketer name, and the country where the product was processed or manufactured. The FTC last formally reviewed the textile rules in 1998. More |
