225-year-old Berkshire County, Mass., inn destroyed by fire

An historic building in Western Massachusetts has been destroyed following an early morning fire. The fire started around 4:00 am at the Egremont Inn in South Egremont, Mass. No one was hurt in the fire, but now more than 225 years of history, dating back to the Revolutionary War, have literally gone up in flames. More

The Ocean Park neighborhood in Santa Monica, Calif., will now become the home of a new bed and breakfast facility that will be located in a city landmarked building. The property contains a four-bedroom craftsman beach house which was built in 1905 and was designated as a city landmark in June of 2007. More

If the recent StrongMail "2010 Marketing Trends" survey is correct, online marketing spending will be up in the coming year. According to the report, 89 percent of respondents said they will either maintain or increase the amount of their marketing spending in 2010, with 50 percent of businesses saying they would allocate additional dollars to their marketing efforts. The survey, conducted online Nov. 1725, surveyed 1,057 business executives. More

Comedian Stu Cassell and his equally gregarious wife, Mary Rose, packed up their stuff and drove from their St. Louis, home to a new life in a homey 1925-era bed and breakfast overlooking Lake Verona in Avon Park, Fla. The Cassells had to choose between a B&B in Montana and the Lake Verona Lodge in Avon Park. It was a no-brainer. More

This is a delicious way to enjoy couscous. You can reconstitute the couscous the night before and keep it in the refrigerator overnight. All it will need in the morning is a steam in the microwave and the addition of the oranges. More
