Component Control announced today that SK AeroSafety, which specializes in the repair and overhaul of aircraft safety components, has selected Quantum Control MRO and Logistics software for worldwide rollout to its five locations. Implementation across all facilities is expected by end of the third quarter 2016.

A bill mandating the refund of luggage fees to fliers whose bags are delayed or lost, and force airlines to seat children with their parents or guardians without a fee, was officially signed into law by President Barack Obama.
The FAA Reauthorization Bill, which included these key features, passed the Senate with a vote of 95-3 in April and the House by voice vote. It will fund the FAA through September 2017.
With the bill's passing, airlines will now be required to refund baggage fees on any items that are lost or delayed.

Textron Aviation will announce more details about its single-engine turboprop at next week's AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The Wichita-based maker of Cessna and Beechcraft jets and airplanes said that in addition to announcing the new turboprop’s name and branding, it will have on display a cabin mockup of the airplane aimed at competing in a new market for the company.
