AAR and Rockwell Collins sign maintenance pact

Rockwell Collins has signed a long-term service agreement with AAR for maintenance, repair and overhaul of Rockwell Collins avionics on more than 300 aircraft, including the Airbus A319, A320 and A330; Boeing 737 and 767; and Bombardier CRJ.

After maintenance woes, Allegiant puts more aircraft into service

Allegiant Air continued to press more of its fleet into service, expecting to have 32 of its 49 available MD-80 aircraft flying. This will more than double the 14 planes that had emergency slides complying with the manufacturer's requirement for annual overhauls. The recent discovery that Allegiant, a unit of Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co., had followed the old standard and performed overhauls only every three years led to the grounding of most of its planes.

Airliner-repair firm plans 130 new Tucson, Ariz., workers
Arizona Daily Star
An aircraft maintenance company at Tucson International Airport plans to add about 130 jobs in an expansion that includes a new hangar. The Tucson Airport Authority tentatively approved a lease extension for Ascent Aviation Services Corp. that would allow the company to expand with a new hangar at the airport.

High-flying aviation business adds new hangar

Central Air Service, located at the Lewistown Municipal Airport in Montana, has broken ground on a new 100 by 100 foot aircraft hangar. The new hangar will provide much needed space for the thriving aviation business, owned by Charlie Rogers and Dan and Lana Langford.
