Update: PBUS 2013 Midyear Meeting was one of the best yet!
PBUS

250 members, guests and exhibitors enjoyed the PBUS 2013 Midyear Meeting at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans! The cocktail reception, parade and dinner at the Court of Two Sisters involved everyone. The exhibits offered a wide variety of information. The sessions were jam packed with useful information. The panel at the closing breakfast gave many examples on how by working together all of us in the bail industry can fight the good fight for our business in the states in which we work.

Attendees echoed the comments of Davie Westmoreland who said, "We talked on the way home and decided it was the best meeting we have attended in a very long time." And, Jimmie Lay, president of the Alabama Bail Agents Association said, "I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the conference and how the Skip Tracing Class alone made it worth the expense to me. The wealth of knowledge I gained was amazing." Guy Ruggiero, Blair Boutte and Steve Donnes along with the entire Association of Louisiana Bail Underwriters set a new bar for a local association making the PBUS conference great. Attendance and participation from Louisiana was exceptional, as well as from Texas and many other states. Some of the high points were the welcome at registration by the welcome table and New Orleans bail agent Steve Donnes and family, the parade and dinner.

The sessions gave members information they can use to make their business better. Some of the ideas included bringing roses to the staff of attorneys, bringing donuts inside a box with the agent's name and contact information on it, fans to distribute in churches and what social media works and what doesn’t. Information on tactical awareness and more information was given about skip-tracing.

We will now start the planning for our 2014 Winter Conference at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas as well as the 2014 Midyear Meeting, and we look forward to seeing you there!
