The City of Austin plans to rip out the chain baskets and shut down the Pease Park disc golf course at the end of the day on Dec. 31. The new golf course at Coggshall Park in Fitchburg, Mass., doesn't include sand bunkers, lightning-fast greens or a pro shop. And you don't need golf clubs to play it. People can learn how to use the strange-looking steel baskets in Nelson's Isel Park, in Wellington, New Zealand, now that the course they are part of has been officially opened. Disc golf is set to make its return to Pemberton, B.C., Canada, just a few months after the unauthorized course near the popular Lumpy's Epic trail was dismantled.
