A group of 62 House Democrats, led by New York Representatives Bill Owens and Michael McMahon, sent a letter to House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank this week urging Congress to exclude vehicle dealers from provisions of a proposed new consumer financial regulatory entity that would be created in new legislation aimed at Wall Street and the banking industry. The recovery in the RV industry continues to be on track, according to a recent forecast by the Dr. Richard Curtin for RVIA. RV shipments are expected to total approximately 230,300 units in 2010, an anticipated gain of 39 percent above the 2009 total of 164,700. More
