Global sales of nonwoven fabrics are forecast to increase 6.9 percent annually to 9.3 million metric tons in 2015, according to a recent study from The Freedonia Group. Growth rates in developing regions will remain higher than those projected for developed areas, primarily due to continued industrialization efforts and increasing personal income. The personal hygiene market, which includes adult incontinence products, feminine hygiene products, and infant diapers and training pants - will continue to account for the single largest share of nonwovens demand in 2015. Chinese textile machinery exports up by 33 percent in January

According to statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics of China, during January to September, Chinese textile machinery exports reached $1.65 billion, a 33.04 percent year-on year growth. Knitting machinery sector stayed the largest sector in terms of textile machinery exports. The sector's exports hit $0.48 billion, up by 35.95 percent year on year, with growth rate falling by 12.15 percentage points compared with the first six months, making up 29.06 percent of the total textile machinery exports. It was followed by auxiliary equipment and parts, dyeing, finishing and post-treatment machinery, spinning machinery, chemical fiber machinery, weaving machinery, nonwoven fabric machinery and weaving preparation machinery. Manufacturing expands by most in 6 months

U.S. factories expanded in December at the fastest pace in six months, adding to evidence manufacturing is improving from India to the U.K. entering 2012. The Institute for Supply Management's factory index climbed to 53.9 last month from 52.7 in November, the Tempe, Ariz,- based group's data showed recently. Fifty is the dividing line between growth and contraction, and economists surveyed by Bloomberg News forecast the gauge would rise to 53.5. More
