Gerber technology to launch 3-D solution for garment sector

Gerber Technology, a U.S.-based integrated solutions provider for the apparel and industrial market, will launch AccuMark 10, a fully integrated 3-D solution for garment development and pattern making, in spring 2015. The new 3-D solution will allow designers to share 3-D images and motion files, furthering collaboration and centralization of data. Designers will have a real-life visualization of designs and be able to make pattern corrections that can then be seen in 3-D, the company said in a statement.

iFabric launches new proprietary intelligent fabric

iFabric Corp has launched a new proprietary fabric, which combines anti-bacterial technology (ProTx2) with the most advanced odor absorbing compound (FreshTx). "This innovation provides the apparel and footwear markets with a technology that allows for extended wear without the usual odor that is normally associated with perspiration-saturated garments,” iFabric said. “Our test results show imperceptible odor even after extended wear," said Hylton Karon, CEO at iFabric.
