Lampasas football coach Joey McQueen, who took over a winless team and turned it into a playoff qualifier, has been hired as the new wide receivers coach at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. McQueen, 53, told the Badgers he was stepping down after three seasons. He led Lampasas to a 19-14 record and twice took the Badgers to the playoffs.
