TSRA Representatives attend annual SHOT Show
SHOT Show® is the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade ShowSM and Conference for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting accessories industry. The largest trade show of its kind in the world and the fifth largest trade show in Las Vegas, the SHOT Show features more than 1,600 exhibitors filling booth space covering 630,000 net square feet. The show, which is a trade-only event, attracts more than 65,000 industry professionals from all 50 states and 100 countries.

TSRA Representatives attend this annual event in search of new supporters for the TSRA Sportsman in the form of advertising to allow for the continued publication of our high quality magazine. In addition we look for companies that are interested in working with us to offer member discounts on products and to assist in our fundraising efforts both for TSRA and the TSRA Foundation.

The SHOT Show also allows for important meetings with representatives of the NRA, USA Shooting, International Hunters Education Association — USA, Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) the SHOT Show organizer. Additionally, with the size of the shooting industry in Texas, there have been ample opportunities to meet many current and future TSRA members in the trade show halls. Be sure to visit our Facebook page for updates from the show floor.

Two years after the shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, the absence of guns from Obama's speech marked a departure from previous years, in which the president urged Congress to pass legislation aimed at reducing gun violence in America.
