Franken's service dogs for vets act passes
ohmidog! Share
Sen. Al Franken's first piece of legislation — aimed at increasing the supply of service dogs for veterans – has been passed and is headed to the White House for approval. Under the legislation, the Veterans Administration would develop partnerships with
organizations that provide disabled veterans with service dogs. Franken said the measure will cost about $5 million and is designed not to interfere with non-profit organizations providing service dogs. MORE
BEWARE: Misleading Expo Guide Advertising Scam
WPA and IAEE Share
Construct Data Publishers and similar companies are continuing to target SuperZoo exhibitors. They offer advertising
space on their Fair Guide and/or Expo Guide websites, using a form which resembles an organizer’s free catalog listing service, inviting exhibitors to sign and return the form for an entry in an on-line directory.
Exhibitors who sign and return the form are bound to a non-terminable agreement at significant cost for a period of at least three years and automatically renewing thereafter at the same cost, unless canceled by registered letter within the appropriate period.
Please note that SuperZoo has no relationship with Construct Data, Fair Guide, Expo Guide nor any of their many other brands, and they have no right to use SuperZoo's show names and brands on information they send out to exhibitors. If you receive a document from Construct Data or a similar organization which uses our name or the name of our events and which offers advertising space on the Fair Guide website or Expo Guide website, please do not sign the form unless you have carefully
read and understood the all of the terms contained in the small print.

Will the U.N. soon protect animals?
Zoo Too Share
Though approximately 650 million of the world's 1 billion poorest people depend on
animals for their livelihoods, no universal declaration highlights the significance animals have on communities and individuals alike, especially those in developing nations. Similarly, animals still lack an international acknowledgement recognizing their rights and welfare. That might soon change, though, given The World Society for the Protection of Animals' latest campaign, which is urging the United Nations' General Assembly to adopt an international agreement on animal welfare.
