Three Days Left to Nominate! Honor Those in the Industry Making an Impact

There are only three days left before the nomination period closes for the 2014 ASID Awards. The nominating process has been streamlined; nominators simply fill out a short online form and ASID will invite candidates to submit their portfolios. Have you nominated anyone for one of these four prestigious national awards? Award winners will be honored at Celebration, the Society's annual gala, June 21, 2014, in Los Angeles. Hurry, nominations close Jan. 5.

Household Trends Signal Changes in Design Clients?

From Sept. 6: A new U.S. Census Bureau report presents a number of demographic changes in U.S. households that could have a significant impact on the interior design industry. The report analyzes data collected between 2005 and 2011, and it reveals that the traditional American household — i.e., a married couple with children — is becoming as much a relic of the past as Main Street.
