LED: New Material, New Possibilities?

A Wheelchair-Accessible Adaptive Reuse Project in London
Brod Hart's London home is hidden down a quiet street filled with typical Victorian houses. But behind the large steel doors that shield it from view stands what once began as stables, later served as a piano factory and finally was converted to a wheelchair-accessible private residence. Hart managed the renovation himself and lived on-site during the process, with an end result of an industrial-chic modern house, fully accessible to wheelchair users.

25C Energy Tax Credit Revived
The revival of the 25C energy tax credit went almost unnoticed in Congress's fiscal cliff legislation, H.R. 8, the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. The energy tax credit was extended through the end of 2013 and made retroactive to products installed in 2012, including improvements such as insulation, windows, doors and skylights as well as specified solar, wind, geothermal and HVAC installations.
