Bringing WiFi to doctors' offices
Medical Office Today    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
People use WiFi to access the Internet through laptops and other mobile devices in coffee shops, hotels, office buildings and many other environments. Doctors' offices, clinics and hospitals are the newest locales where WiFi hotspots are popping up, allowing busy patients and visitors to surf the web, check e-mail and handle computer work while they wait to see their healthcare providers. Physician practices that choose to offer WiFi to their patients usually make it available in the reception/waiting area. Some have even set up a separate area within the waiting room that is designated for WiFi and equipped with computers. More

In one scene, the wife's parents call them "vultures." But "they aren't vultures," argues Lange, "they are design people. Nation's Building News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail
article
Builder confidence in the mature-housing market remained weak during this year’s first quarter, according to the latest 55+ Housing Market Index from NAHB. "The 55+ segment of the market is still stalled in most regions," said NAHB Chief Economist David Crowe. "Since the builders' potential buyers are having difficulty selling their existing property, they are unable to move to a more appropriate home." In addition, Crowe noted that "many 55+ buyers and renters are concerned about their current job security, and may be holding off on any decision to move until the economy becomes more predictable."
